Who we are

Reception Hub provides virtual reception and telephone answering services to UK businesses. We are based at Century Business Park, Century Business Centre, Wath upon Dearne, Rotherham S63 5DA.

Information you give us

When you start a free trial, ask for a callback or email us, we collect your name, your business name, your phone number, your email address and whatever you choose to tell us in the message.

We use it to reply to you and to set up your service. We do not sell it, and we do not add you to a mailing list you did not ask for.

Information about people who ring you

This is the important one, and most policies gloss over it.

When we answer your phone, we take details about the person calling: their name, their number, and whatever they tell us about what they need. That information belongs to your business, not to ours. We are handling it on your behalf and on your instructions.

We hold it for as long as we need to in order to pass it to you and keep your call log, we keep it secure, we do not use it for any purpose of our own, and we do not share it with anyone except you.

Why we are allowed to hold it

For your own details, because we need them to provide the service you have asked for, or because you have asked us to contact you.

For your callers' details, because we are acting as a processor for your business, which is the controller of that information.

How long we keep it

Enquiry and trial details are kept while we are talking to you and for a reasonable period afterwards. Call records and messages are kept for the length of your service with us, so your call log is useful to you.

If you want your information deleted sooner, ask us and we will do it, unless we are legally required to keep something.

Who else sees it

The suppliers we use to run the service, such as our telephony, email and hosting providers. They only ever process information on our instructions.

Nobody else. We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.

Cookies and measurement

This website uses only what it needs to work. Where we run advertising, the advertising platform may set cookies to measure whether an ad led to an enquiry.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work.

Your rights

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we are using it. Email us and we will deal with it.

If you are not happy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
